after the summit we went on a 3 day intern retreat with all of the new interns. it was a great way to get to know each other better. we had some one on one time with each other with questions like "what is something you are afraid of about being here?" it was an eye opening experience to know that they have fears too. we also did some spiritual practices. we did some solitude and silence time with God, that i must say was amazing. we also did a reflection practice. that is where you take time to look back on your day and see where you have seen God or where you aloud him to be close and where you don't see God or where you might have not wanted him there. it was a great exercises that i am trying to do everyday. it was a good couple of days that helped up bond. so i now finally have some friends. yeah!

summit
hey guys, sorry its been a while. the summit was great there was some amazing speakers and some even more amazing musicians. i would have to say the thing that i remember most about the summit is what happened at the very end before Bill Hybles got up and did his closing talk. it was on inspiration and man was it inspiring. they had a video of a boy that was born with no eyes and a serious joint deformity. as he grew they soon found that he had an extremely good ear for music they could play something on the piano and he would play the exact same thing back to them. it was amazing. he then came out on sage and played for us. i mean if this kid can overcome all of his difficulties than we can do anything.

Im here!

Well im here. I have mixed emotions right now. I am missing home so much but at the same time i am excited to be here. i just had my first promiseland staff meeting and it was great. they talked about what we are going to be focus for the ministry year is going to be and david stall said it is going to be the best ever. the focus is what if... i am so excited about it. he was saying that god has put all of us here for a reason and non of us are here on acident. it was really reasuring because i was feeling unsure. i know God has a plan and i just need to trust him. thank you so much for all of your prayers i need all of them that i can get. i am having some home sickness and really miss of of you and my parents and david. so please keep me in your prays. i love you all. kaylin

road trip!
Wow! This has been one fun and crazy trip. We have had some adventures (getting of on the wrong off ramps, mom) and some beautiful sights and lots of laughs. Man has it been fun. There has been those sad moments of missing home but I'm doing pretty good. God is good! We have seen some crazy things like an overturned big rig and some gigantic moose on the back of a big rig diving down the high way. good thing they weren't real. and wow there are some crazy drivers. i will have pictures once i get a cord to hook up my camera to my computer. i love you all and thanks for all of the prayer and support.
