its fall!!!

Hi friends! SORRY that it has been so long sense i have updated my blog. i have no excuse i have just been neglecting it. and im sorry. i have to say i miss you all soooooooo much! there are days that i wish i could just pack up my bags and come home and in my head i do. but in reality i dont i push through. i got to tell you it is getting chilly out here. the leaves are changing color. there is some real beauty in the nature of the the fall. its the the greatest for my allergies but it sure is beautiful. i have had some fun having some visitors. first David was here and we got to explore the city and get lost together it was fun. we also saw all of navy pier and did a super fun double decker tour of the city. that was probably my favorite. we got the coolest guide. he told us all about the city and sang a little too. it was fun. after David the girls came for the life groups conference. boy did they lift my spirits. just hanging out and having some girl time and community that really loves and cares for me around me really helped. thanks girls. next my parents came. we had fun too. we saw wicked and went to the top of Sears tower and just hung out as a family. i miss both David and my parents so much. then Nat came and we just walked around and did some window shopping and went to a contemporary art museum and just had fun laughing together. i have a brake for visitors for a while until thanksgiving when David comes back. i cant wait to see him.
ministry has been good i am still in the infants and toddlers for now. i have been doing a lot more of the division role than the program side of things like i was before. because i am much more of a people person than a computer person. so i have more fun calling people then sitting on the computer rewriting curriculum by myself. boring! the more i learn the more i am affirmed that we are doing things really good. i am all the more proud of our church and our team and volunteers. i love IHC!!! thanks for being so great! i love and miss you all!

Hi Kaylin,
How chilly is it in the Windy City?
We did have a get time hanging out in the city. While we where there it went form 90 degrees on Monday to 53 degrees on Wednesday, and stayed that way until we went home on Sat. Kaylin showed us all around the area she lives and down town Chicago. We took the train from her area into the heart of the city and then we walked our feet off. It took a whole day to recover from that. We got to see Kaylin's desk which I think has changed now, and we met some of the people Kaylin serves with. We went to a midweek service and met even more people, this time the interns she works with. We stayed in a Comfort Inn Hotel near her host home and it had the stinkyest smellyest bathroom on the whole planet. Sometimes it smelled worse than an out house. We tried to blame Dick but he wasn't going to take responsiblity for that wretched smell. Must have been sewer problems. We ate Chicago style pizza, yummmmm, and Portello's hot dogs and some popcorn that if I hadn't tasted it for myself I would have never believed it could taste so good. It was a mix of cheese popcorn and carmel popcorn. I know it sounds so gross but it was really good and it was a great snack on the train ride home. We loved our time together.
Kaylin is just a great person and I am thrilled that I get to call her my daughter. She is soarly missed here at IHC. I know when she comes back she will be bringing with her a big coat and lots of info on how we can to ministry even better.
Hugs and Love to You my sweet girl.
